          The most crabs i have ever had was six bought from the tackle shop and i was,nt fussed on them at all. Much prefer a big juicy cocktail bait of worm and mussel etc.

            ya reet mick nowt like some fresh luggy and mussle in the winter , i gave all my crab away i dont rate it

              The trouble with buying crab and using it same day Mick, is that they may not be ready to use. They are much better when they are popping, it's also the right time to freeze them as they are their most juiciest.

                    i like the cut of your jib gents on the crab issue but the lug you mention is it the standard stuff i buy from the local tackle shop ? im confused about lug after reading about yellow tail etc the worms i buy stain my fingers yellow and i now know runny down is gutted black lug but there massive in size , can anyone enlighten me on the subject ? (sorry if i have hi-jacked the thread sean)

                      blowlug ,yellas,blacks all gans on the same way and catches fish oh and raggy is a must too,the stains on ya fingers is a mess shaving foam brings it off if that helps
