          Not really, There is nothing wrong with spending money on a hobby, Do you have more than one rod? Im sure you have...if so why spend money on another rod when you have one..same with reels, People work hard to make money so they can spend it on whatever they like...its better than ****ing £100 up the wall on a nights drink too

            I have more rods than I care to count, same with reels. I buy whatever I fancy whenever I like but the £540 price tag is just too hard for me to justify to myself! They do look like a nice piece of kit and I'm quite sure I'll own 1 at some point but not at the RRP.
            TBH tho if I was to buy 1 I'd want a blank to build myself but Stan is right in what he's done, it was cheaper to buy a built rod and strip it than buy a blank.
            Century should be appalled at their build quality

              People buy the best rod they can with funds available..If someone wants to pay that amount and can afford it then why not...everyone would
