Yes both great in the right conditions ..what cheeses me off is people that just feed off the hard work others put in learning marks!!!!!!!!!! ..do you want someone to fillet your fish and possibly put them in bags for you as well.

Hello mate ,I fished off the right hand side on a Northeasterly dying sea a few Christmas's ago and got one hell of a bite ,I got snagged and lost what I consider my biggest shore fish so I'd definately give it a crack.
You can take the lad out of Walker but .......

Be careful on the North pier, people have been washed off. There's some good marks at low water too but go with someone who knows the area well 'til you get to know it

I fish that area regular in winter last year had a few good bags and one fish just over 7lb.I mostly fish the rocks either side up to the warriors. As has been mentioned can be a bit dodgy with a big sea on.

lol thats a bit harsh, but i can understand where ye coming from. Its ok to get advice about a mark, but to really get to know a mark its best to go there at low water and suss it out, then fish it. Thats what i do, and thats probably why i catch very little hehe

Fish the south breakwater, watch the tide - if there's a swell it'll come over it. I've fished there off and on since I was in my late teens, doesn't produce massive numbers but does normally throw some nice fish out. Can be very snaggy so if you're a cheap so and so like me then use some old spark plugs (make sure they're cleaned off so there's no oil or anything on them) or something similar as sinkers. Don't need a long cast and you'll soon figure out where the holes are.

Fished Cullercoats with a couple of members from here...

Seem to remember it was geet slippy and geet snaggy - rotten bottem rigs are the order of the day...but it's perfect fishy territory

                            Be prepared to lose gear
                            Ooh a new vid!

That's why I prefer it from the breakwater on a high tide, seems a bit easier when you're a bit higher up and get a bit lift on the gear straight off. Still can be a tackle graveyard at times, hence me not using leads there!
