  • Mull of galloway info ?

I have given up any hope of pollack fishing on the east coast in the next few days, so I am going over to the Mull of Galloway on Monday Tuesday and Wednesday, as I should have more choice of some sheltered marks. Could any kind person who has had more experience of fishing this part of the world suply me with some good rock venues, without having to risk life and limb to fish them. I am particularly interested in either float fishing or spinning a red-gill lure. Also if anyone has fished the Isle of Whithorn for mullet, can they give me some advice on tactics etc. Thanks to anyone for any info to any of the above. Please feel free to PM me if you would prefer.
    Cheers...............BAZACODBASHA

Head to the mull itself, go through the first cattle grid and park there next to what looks like a ruined brick coal shed on the right. Then follow the fence line along until you come to a gate. Go through the gate and walk to your left (south i think) after about 50-100 yds theres a track down the grass towards the sea. Follow this down. theres a cracking mark down there. a little bit of a climb (not bad for the area though) down to a nice big comfortable rock platform that you can fish throughout the tide.

if you like a climb go all the way to the big carpark at the end of the mull and follow the wall down to the left (as you stand facing the light house) just follow it down til you come to a really steep grass bank, carefully negotiate this until you come to the rocks at the bottom. Probably a better mark but its more difficult to get to, thre tide rip is amazing and the climb a bit tricky so probably best not to go alone. If youfall nobody would findyou!!

one point of note is if its raining avoid these marks as the rocks are very slippy in the wet. i think i have a map somewhere so if you send me your mail address i will send you it.

oh and if i was off work i would have came with you lol
