Posted on Fishermans Locker by Craig Middlemist, following Thursday nights Amble SAC meeting.

As being a keen angler and a member of Amble Sea Anglers Asac I am very disappointed with all the rubbish being left at cullernose point by other so called anglers
If this is not dealt with asap and being a a ( area of outstanding natural beauty) the result could mean not being able too fish this mark
    So on August 17
12-2 asac is holding a litter pick to tidy the area up
    Many hands make light work
    Tight lines

Any anglers in the area at the time are more than welcome to join in.
Hopefully the press will pick up the event, and will be able to convey to the public that not all anglers are irresponsible litter louts.

Loopy Les is getting some rubbish sacks and a small trailer to dispose of the crap.

Unfortunately, a prolapsed disc and sciatica mean I can't be there, wish I could.

A Very Nice Gesture By The Membership Of The ASAC. it Would Be Nice To See Other Clubs Follow Suite,Well Done ASAC.
Litter at my favourite spot (Dunstanburgh Castle) was one of the reasons I hung up my shore gear to collect dust.Another area that could see a ban on anglers on using the land thats owned and managed by English Heritage and National Trust.
Nothing makes a fish bigger than almost being caught

Couldn't agree more Tony, Ive had the rod out loads this summer for a change ( a lot of the time with the bairn) and have been embarrassed trying to explain to her about were the rubbish that has been left on marks we have been fishing has come from, its a worrying and sad fact that many areas of outstanding beauty and even scientific interest are being used as a rubbish dump or toilet, we have picked up and disposed of bags full of rubbish all summer, cullernose and dunstunburgh castle last week were off the map ! scruffy, jacky B******* !!!!!!
The amount of mono getting left is a serious concern also its just IDOL !!!
keep up the good work, great to see ASAC making a difference.

I fished craster last week and the rubbish there is horrendous. Lager cans bait packets line newspaper human crap and toilet roll everywhere.

May attend if I'm not working. Pleased to see something being done.
