  • cullernose point and float fishing

Having a trip up to cullernose point this afternoon and was wondering if its worth trying a float. Id like to travel light so dont really want to take beachcaster and a tripod. Just want to put rucksack on and take my take my flattie rod that i use for float fishing aswell at a push i even use it for spining.
Anyone ever used a float up there and where abouts is the best place on the mark, right on the point or more around to the cliff side or the other side any help appriciated.
    Cheers

i floated up there a few weeks ago mate, only got little colies though, also tried light ledgers close in to the same effect, you can see the a sandy patch there you could try with your flattie rod, i took one out of there on my big rod the same sesh.
Happy to help, Keen to learn!
