Braid

Hi all.
Just after bit of info regarding braid.Thinking of using it this coming winter season for my night fishing trips on a fixed spool,for comfort and ease of use on those cold winter nights.
Wondering though would it be "wrong" to use it on busy venues,i.e shields pier.
I ask this because most use "mono" and would i be correct that if the inevitable tangle happens that the braid would cut through the mono?
Also what would fixedspool braid uses recommend for a reel and braid set up?and would it be ok on my tt match and crest reel down cheers!!!

A lot of people use braid now mate so I would'nt worry to much about using it around other people. Just use caution as you would with mono give each other space and looking where lines are.

As for the reel, it depends on your budget. The penn surfblaster and affinity seems popular, as do the shimano ultegra. I used a shimano navi for a good while and it never missed a beat. Other reels worth considering are daiwa emblem spod, penn battle, shimano biomaster and daiwa opus bull. Like I say though it depends on your budget, you can spend a fortune.

Lastly, the reels will be fine down the rod, thats how I use mine. Casting is effortless.
