I'm heading up there this week and wondering if anyone's fished there before? It looks like there could be some rock marks there that could be worth lure fishing

Some good marks on the rocks in front of the caravan site mate, walk away from the bay to the end of the golf course and there's some decent perches. Usually solid with dogfish 'though. Further afield Torrs point, Manxman etc good marks with a short drive and decent hike. If you do some searches on here you will find all the details. Again 'though it's doggie city and really tough to get through the packs to anything else.

As you drive from kirkudbright to brighouse bay you will pass another caravan site called "Seaward" if you park opposite the entrance you can walk down to the river. Fish the channel over low water for a chance of good bass. All methods work here bait, lures and fly. Every year this mark throws out a few doubles although 2 to 4lb are more the norm. Waders are essential to fish this mark.

If you get down to borness point, fish to the left of it. Theres a big kelp bed there where the pollack shelter. At manxman, fish the right hand side on the flood, some good pollack in the kelp beds there. As magpies has said, it's stuffed with dogs to bait, but if you can get some crab, both borness and manxman give you the chance of smoothies and rays.Davy
