  • Ssp first gate mackerel?

Anyone know if they've been getting the mackeral at the hole in the wall/first gate at the pier over high water?
Was thinking of going today for a bit spinning?

    Cheers

Cheers Sean I was thinking that, just fancy a bit sport on light gear but hate the pier for mackeral when it's chokka.

The bottom is always the best bet I reckon, go to the end and nearly have you head taken off by people swing leads about. Think early morning and late night has produced the best but it's low water at 10 and there will be no water at the bottom

I've just got back from the pier. There's not many on, it's pretty quiet. Maybe the wind us putting them off. Only three on the end when I left.
