  • Greys GRX-S

Got my eye on one of these, anyone used one and know if they're any good?
My rod at the minute is a Penn Extreme Noreaster, is the Greys better?

I've never tried the GRX-S but I have the Greyflex-S and it's a lovely rod. It' ideal for the river or beach is is very easy to cast. You will hear talk of Greys rods snapping but I have the Greyflex, Apollo M2 and the Platinum XS and all three have been absolutely no problem at all.
One word of advice, If your interested in buying a Greys rod then give their shop at Alnwick a bell first on 01665510027 and ask to speak to Bob Smith. They often have ex demos and returns for sale at half the retail price. I bought the Platinum XS for £175 and it was brand new and in perfect condition.

i had on for about 2 month
              then it snaped
am not saing it was the rods fault, bt it was a bran new rod and it was in a snag, and only 30lb line
gave it a desant tug and there it went
areet for casting and the beaces thogh

Had a M2 Appollo for a few years now and had no bother with it. Dragged cod to 8lb thro' the kelp and it didn't flinch. Have to say that many people reckon grey's rods snap. Can only reply by saying, not if you use them properly. Nee disrepect meant.

                Cheers
