Reelsport has "Dexter wedges" in at £1.50 for 42gms ,which is a good weight for getting distance - they are really good ,i am down on the pier after work ,so hopefully bag a few for tommorrows tea
he also has the lead spinners coated in silver paint for £1 ,but i have found that these start to lose the paint and shine after a few casts ,bought some of them also ,but only as back up
i prefer braid with about two foot of 15LB mono (in case of snags) but i also tie the lure on with a rapala knot - dont know if it makes any dirrerence to the mackeral when using the lure ,but it hasnt stopped them
