    Well here's the damage to my rod from today, safe to say it is kaput. Bit of a freak occurance, my gear got caught on the pier wall while reeling in, I gave it a pull with the rod and the gear broke free only for the lead to come shooting up the wall and smash the tip off the rod. Never ever seen that happen before and hope I don't again.
    If anybody needs a butt section, reducer and rod bag for an MTI Zero 300, I have them here.

    Rather unlucky but I wouldn't write the rod off. If its a clean break just get a new tip ring put on, you've only lost a few inches of the tip.

      As said smooth the end off and put a tip ring on be a nice powerful pier rod then.I'm a bit out your way but giz a shout if you need any help with it

        I could do with the tip ring it will fit mine perfectly!! Can swap you for a larger one to fit the thicker section lol .

            Ideal rock rod mate, I know one lad who cuts the top 4 inches off his rod for that reason.
