  • Boat rods

    It's been asked before.
But what is the best rod to go for in the 30-50lb class?
    Prob around the £150-200 mark?
Looked at century, uk hooks zziplex, but still have a passion for the ugly stik
I bought one over 20 years ago & it's still spot on but very heavy rod & will do more for your arms than a session at the gym

I asked the same question on here a few weeks ago and had loads of advice and narrowed it down to a few. I found a Sonik SK4 and took it. Incredibly light and slim for a 30-50lb rod. First go with it yesterday and it feels great, although it was only tested by Mackerel unfortunately!

The Diawa Kenzaki got a lot of good reviews, but was more than I wanted to pay, but is definitely in your price range.
