I rarely fish into the harbour side on ssp, but Ive been told that the wooden post is a good mark. Has anyone fished from there much, and is it less snaggy on the flood or ebb?

It's a long range fishing mark Andy... As you used to get snagged at the 44 I would avoid it haha... Never fished it myself mate but as its in the river side small tides"In order to becomes old and wise, first you must be young and stupid."
