when freezing macky for winter is it best to leave the guts in or not thanks

Never used macky guts for shore bait so I'd fillet them and save some freezer space The belly flap makes excellent whiting bait though apparently.

"MACKY" oh them fish peeps go crazy for in huge amounts ,cos they have had a bad winter season they carnt wait till mackys in to fill there freezers

i freeze mine whole as i think it keeps the flesh bloodier than gutting them

I dont think it matters as long as they are frozen down as fresh as pos. and as quickly as pos. or it will go loose and mushy when it thaws out.

yup thats what i do freeze them as soon as possible,fillets.
