  • Sharkham point and River Teign

Going caravaning for 8 days down Torbay (Devon) have read in the site information that there is a famous fishing spot called Sharkham Point and it's very close to the site where we're stopping, just wondering if anyone has fished it before and could pass on some information about it.

Secondly I've heard that the river Teign (just north of where we are staying) is supposed to be excellent for flatties, is this still the case? If so is this the right time of year to catch them (going next Friday 13th ).

Any info on any of these spots would be greatly appreaciated, I hadn't planned on taking my fishing gear but depending on the replies I might just put it in and give it a go. Thanks in advance for any help.
Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes. After that who cares?... He's a mile away and you've got his shoes!

i have fished the river teign once about 5 years ago in the summer. had a couple of schoolies. One lad i watched was catching loads of them on a free lined live sandeel.

i fished just behind the beach at the mouth of the estuary where the boats are moored. you will see where i mean.

I think most of the big flattes are caught in the winter though.
