  • Broughty Ferry?

    Bit random this one...

My brother has just moved to Broughty Ferry near Dundee. I know there's loads of good rough ground Cod marks around that coastline so that should be good for visits. BUT, has anyone ever fishing the estuary at Broughty Ferry (ie the sandy beach)??? What can you get there, if anything?

Any advice much appreciated. Any East Scotians out there?
    PBs...Cod 8lb2oz.. Turbot 3lb2oz.. Whiting 1lb8oz.. Coalie 1lb9oz.. Flounder 1lb7oz.. Dab 15oz.. Plaice 13oz.. Bass 1lb 6oz

Good for flatties and Seatrout, Carnoustie good for the start of the Cod grounds in the Winter, bait is not a problem in the local area.

I lived in Dundee for a while - Broughty Ferry was a place of mystery and relaxation away from some of my schemey mates. Can't help with the fishing though m8 sorry,

Nothing that exciting Ross - a pal lived over there and his cottage was lush, he was a brilliant accordianist amongst other things
