anybody know any good sites for fishing in wales
    mostly anglesey
i think i am going to be over there more often now i am getting to know a few marks over there.

when u take into account what i spend on traveling collecting bait etc it isnt much more to travel accross there and there is more and bigger species to catch.

    cheers

    OK Macky

Try http://www.nwsa.ukf.net , there is a lot of good info on there which I wont repeat. I posted a few threads a while back on Menai Straits marks, do a search in the forums and they should come up.

Don\'t forget the Lleyn Peninsula it\'s not much further than the Anglesey marks and also there are some good spots all the way down from Cannah\'s Quay to Anglesey.

Good bait is available from Anglesey Bait Centre in Beaumaris (open till midnight and later on Fridays and Saturdays ! - now that is service for you, take note all you other tackle/bait dealers out there - Thanks Malcombe) and North Wales Angling Centre in Caernarfon. In the summer they sometimes have crab but you need to give them a good notice for a bulk order. Apologies to the other bait suppliers in the area that I have not mentioned.

Try and get hold of the Wales Angling Guide, edited by Clive Gammon - ISBN 0 900784 48 2 - rare as rocking horse dung but well worth hunting a copy down.

Worth considering as well is the Haven / British holiday caravan sites near Pwllheli, out of season (i.e. not school holidays) they do 3 and 4 night breaks mid week and weekend for as little as £50 or so (use you Sun newspaper vouchers).

The NWSA site can be good for info, though they tend to be a pretty ignorant lot on the whole try asking for info...300 views and no replies, says it all As Dave said, the WSF boys will be paying poll tax in Wales if we go there any more ..p.m. Mick Mac...he`s the specialist in that region.
p.s Chris, please refrain from mentioning the Sun newspaper....us scousers would`nt wipe are arses on it

Yes, but I prefer page 3 of the Sun any day to page 3 of the Liverpool Echo or Daily Post.

Regarding the NWSA site, I find there is a tendency from the site admins to \"bite the hand that feeds\" on this site, with over pedantic editing of posts whenever there is mention of Bass or use of capital letters. How many contributors have withdrawn or reduced their input because of this attitude?

Glyn on the NWSA site does have a reasonable point on bass postings, they should be protected. They do take it a little far though, you can post \'caught two undersized bass from a North Wales pier\'. It usually ends up as caught two undersized fish.....
I\'ve noticed the number and quality of the postings on that board decreasing. As with a lot of people in some areas, they can be a little insular. I live here, you don\'t, I can fish here, you can\'t.
