    Heard that seabait ragworm farm has closed or is closing? anyone heard the same?

    heard the same brother works at alcan and says the liquidators were in on thurs,farm apparently closed.

      Funny you should say that but,, i was fishing lynmouth the other day and wheni came off the beach and walked back round to the car,,there were about 8 people and some bloke was giving them a hug saying thanks for everything etc see u later and they all left. Never thought nowt about it till now.

        Have just had it confirmed that it is true the liquidators where called in last week, and they are now looking for a buyer.

          So next winter we will have a rag shortage as well as a lug shortage.

          Strange it went under mind, always thought it was doing well..how wrong err

            There was the story of them stopping supply to tackle shops & solely providing worms for freeze drying for carp food in Japan. Wonder if this has had anything to do with their decline.

                Just been speaking with John at Frasers and he says Seabait is still business as usual (in fact in the process of being bought as we speak apparently) but under new ownership

                    As an update of the status of Seabait, I was just informed that Seabait is in a controlled administration but the business is trading whilst a buyer is found.
