  • North Shields Fish Quay

    Morning,

Has anyone fished the fish quay recently just to see which section is the least snaggy? Got our club match down there tomorrow and I am taking the eldest laddy so don't want to depart with too many sinkers! We are fishing 1400-1830 from the black mid dens to the fish quay.
    Thanks for any help,

    Cheers,

    Graham.

bit snaggy for young one if he cant cast very far,a better option would be to fish the middins carpark or small pier,or small beach next to the lifeboat station if in you match boundrys with h/w being 17.45. will be ideal for plenty flds, hope this helps. davy.

One of my favourite marks in the summer for sport. my favourite place along ns fish quay is just to the right of the yellow mooring, cast slightly left or right depending on tide. Over 100yds should see you miss most snags,I've had umpteen sessions without a losing lead. If you fish the middens beach check at low tide as there is loads o tyres in.

tyres are rarely a problem when fishing middens prom even when useing grippers.

tyres hardly stick out over hw and some of them are a good distance out anyway

I'll just be fishing the Middens Graham, probably see you there.

Thanks for the advice. I fished next to the ice house and didn't lose a set of gear! There was a good bit of sport with mostly small stuff but a couple of lads had sized fish.
