Philetletofish on here has links in his signature with loads of marks on them. They are very handy.
                All the gear, no idea.

We fished it a couple of hours before high tide to top of the water. Don't think t matters too much, plenty of deep water.

you would be better off taking some live peeler as well ,stores book has all the marks at eyemouth and st abbs this book is invaluable to any one who has not fished these marks before a mine of information, called the codling crouch, better than second hand information. davy.

Cheers everyone its much appreciated,we just want a memorable trip as we don't get out much these days and I could count on 1 hand the amount of times we have fished outside of hartlepool! I've been busting for a read of that book for ages, but like I say, rarely get out of hartlepool so I've never got round to getting a copy for the advice.were deffo going near the caravan site now though, looks great for moving around and trying a few different spots

if yer look at the map there's a flat slab just down from the site, that's the place to be. you only want a 30yd lob max. keep an eye on yer rod tip though because if a big wrasse hits you yer need to be quick to pull it clear

Cheers g.ordon al bear it all in mind. U fish up there much then? Is the slab you are talking about the most easterly point? On google earth there is a bit of grassland sticking out with a walkway all the way to the tip of it with what looks like a ledge at the end?
