A few of the lads are over on Saturday but can\'t join them \'til Sunday. Looks like I\'ll save myself a soaking. Hope there\'s some good Pollack about!
Aye Peter it does\'nt look very promising over there,i think Sunday is a better forecast.I\'ve never heard much about the fishing over there, look forward to your catch report as we are going over next month,
best of luck.
hi there, i live in wigtown near the isle of whithorn .we are getting bass in our local harbour, (if you could call it a harbour) nothing big fish up to 5lb. the isle of whithorn is fishing very good for pollack, conger and bass and the old faithfull dogfish, if you are comming over at the weekend you should try either the burrow head, sheddock, dinnans, pallmallet,st ninians cave. these marks are all worth a shot, if you get stuck you can get in touch and i will try and put you in the right direction.
Hi John, can you tell me where Sheddock is,i may have fished it but not realised what its called.I\'ve never thought of fishing in Wigtown, where exactly do you fish John in the Harbour,can\'t imagine there is much space down there.
We always have a day in Wigtown when we go over, the wife is a big book reader so she spends hours in the shops,i called into the tackle shop last time i was there he was a nice friendly bloke and very helpful,i think he was English if i remember rightly
I am heading up the west coast friday morning for 5 days, staying at Drummor. Hoping for good weather and good pollack fishing, i would love a bass or two not for tea just because it has been a long time since i hooked one.
sheddock is next farm to cairnhead if you have been there, its 2 mile from yhe isle of whithorn, i live next to the harbour here . there is plenty of room down there you could get 40 rods on it nae bother.better not tell berttie(man in shop)that you said he was english.aye there is a few books in wigtown for your wife to browse through.
you wont get a signal on your mobile at the burrowhead,it could put you on to a isle of man or ireland network, and it costs a fortune if you do manage to contact anyone.
