  • National Fishing Week

    Hi All

Not sure how many of you are aware of National Fishing Week but our organisation has been given the job of co-ordinating it this year. The whole thing about the week is to encourage new people into the sport and try and raise the profile of the sport. The dates are 21-28th July (I think but will confrm later). There are prizes which will be made available and will be won in a draw. I'm thinking that this will happen by anyone who fishes and introduces someone to the sport (young or old) will complete a for and this will all be drawn at the end. There's a chance that you could have a 50/50 chance of getting a prize (although this could just be a pack of tackle). This is a great week that just never seems to get enough publicity and I was just wanting to get people's opinions of this to see if they would like to participate in this either individually or by running something through the site or even better still each club doing something of their own. We have a few qualified fishing coaches who could be available on the day to help out if anyone is thinking of arranging a decent size event. If anyone would like any more information on tis then please feel free to pm me your number and I will contact you. Other than that it woul be great to get people's views on this and some ideas of what people would like to do.

    Cheers guys

    Darren

Come on guys. This will be a great way to promote the sport we all love and a great opportunity for clubs to promote themselves and gain more members. I will help out with the organising of an event as much as I can. This has predominantly been about course fishing over the years but it'sdow to us to show how dedicated we are to the sport. PLese pass this info on to anyone you might feel will be interested.

    Cheers
