The strangest living thing ive caught must be a seagull, on a spinner. must have been painful for it,but it was funny, bit like flying a kite. lol

ive had a gull at first light off hendon prom , best fight i have ever had while sea fishing

why do you think it is a 0.5 lb carp will pull you round a pond for 20 min but a 5.0 lb cod just drags along with its mouth open

must get back to doing some carp fishing soon i need the exercise

Fished Whithorn a few years back and was float fishing at about 6ft down when a Fulmar dived down and took me bait....Fortunately it dropped it but wouldn't go away and kept coming back for it so I had to move.

Nearly had a seal of the bottom corner at the end of the Heugh when fishing for mackeral last year. It was a horrible thing to see what looked like a sideboard speeding up from the depths straight towards me and the macky i had hooked.Luckily the seal turned underwater at the last minute.
