was just wondering what people think about halibut pellets as a potential bait when crabs are about, as theyre rock hard and should last a hell of a lot longer than worm etc.??
I was thinking you could present a string of them on a hair similar to the course fishing lads do, depending on type of bottom of course.
they are a bit like trout pellets but you can get some big ones about 20-25mm in diameter. i guess the lack of response means most people think its a crap idea but im going to give it a go and see.....
have not used boilies yet (but have been thinking of it ) but i do use ground bait in a feeder some times to good effect when its flat as a pancake at slack water
