was wondering if anyone is planning on fishing at South Shields tomorrow. I'm planning to fish the pier over high tide in the afternoon. Is anyone catching anything down there at the moment?
Its abit poop, small whiting, dab and the odd small codling around. It is a 4.4 tide so you should be able to fish the bottom with out little pull. Try mark 44 and the round end casting south east.....if no luck then wait until the tide pull drops off and fish in the harbour casting at Tynemouth pier.
You should catch something just nothing of any great size...good luck
There were plenty of coalie & the odd small codling caught on North Shields fish quay on Sunday. Also may be a bit of sea running from the Easterlies forecast. Good luck!

Where is mark 44 mate? It's Cullercoats Harbour on the map I'm looking at.
If you walk along the pier you will see painted numbers on the floor, mark 44 is marked out. If you get to the blocks you have gone too far, walk back down the pier until it starts to bend then fish there. The tell tail sign will be crab legs and other fishermans rubbish i am sad to say.
