  • Circle hooks?

I just bought 10 circle hooks - little size 2's.

Thought I might try them this summer when i take my nephew flattie bashing up at Warkworth. Thought they might be a good way of preventing flounders and turbot from swallowing the hooks right down.
I only use fish strip for bait so presentation should be ok.

Has anyone got any advice? Would it be a waste of time?....Cheers
    PBs...Cod 8lb2oz.. Turbot 3lb2oz.. Whiting 1lb8oz.. Coalie 1lb9oz.. Flounder 1lb7oz.. Dab 15oz.. Plaice 13oz.. Bass 1lb 6oz

ive heard there good for flatties but you dont need to strike into the fish just lift into the weight of the fish to set the hook
dunno if this is true someone else may have used them i might give them a try soon too

That's a great link RONVIK. Thanks mate.

Reckon they might not be as good as using a plain old aberdeen with a long shank but will give them a go anyway
