I think there should be a limit of cod caught by the competition angler both in clubs and in open competitions cos there gettin thin on the ground yes or no

i would say no because say if there was a 5 fish limit in an open, the first 5 fish you catch you're going to keep incase you dont get another 1. Then if you get your sixth, and its heavier, your going to replace it with the smallest one out of the 5 caught before, which would still mean killing/keeping fish, but your only going to weigh 5 in, so i don't think it would make that much difference. Also with the rate the trawlers bring them in, i dont think us anglers make that much difference.

Use catch and release for points in competitions and you could catch as many cod as you want. It is the way ahead !

the damage anglers do to fish stocks is absolutly nothing compared to the trawler fleets of the world clearing the seas. so i would say no. but i would say yes to an encrease in the minimum size limet.

i got a load of old mags off MICKA
today and i think the owld anglers caught and killed more fish than the trawlers
the siloth open was banned because the 3000 flounders+ were just left to wash up on the next tide
some well kniown names amongst them aswell

Yes thats a terrible slaughter,again human greed. i dont think that would happen these days, just not enough fish left, and it sounds like most people care about conservation of our fish stocks which is a good thing for the future.
