  • ledgered feathers for pollock

Was on a website earlier (can't remember which) and it was going on about using ledgered mackerel feathers for catching pollock - I had never heard of this so was a bit unsure - has anyone ever heard of this or even tried it?

I tried it last year but found a lot of snags can see why it would work I must of just used them in the wrong venue

So just a case of sticking a lump of lead on the end and chucking it out then? I thought it must have been a wind up when I read it

I am sure I still have a few packs left from last year, I might have to give them a try when I am up in Eyemouth next week. Maybe stick an escape link on just in case the lead gets snagged in/on the rocks.
