Just for the recorded dead lifting does not prove the power or ability of a rod. As dead lifting a fish the reel jams and arms give in before the rod will. The original comments were made about the rod first shown over head thumping a rod close to it's max weight. Like I said before cheap Chinese gimmick rods. My ron Thompson tyran spinning rod lifts 15kg plus it must be brilliant

So the rod lifts the cylinder head up, the rod is bent nearly double and still doesn't smash, well that's about as much use as a chocolate fire guard to me when I'm fishing on a cliff, I'd have to stand on a gang plank to get clearance of the cliff face to reel fish up. Them tyran Thompsons have been using the bendy rod gimmick for a few years now

And you can't use any kind of pendulum cast either incase it snaps, er doesn't sound a very useful rod at all for rough ground.

i suppose these cylinder heads can kick back a little.

In my opinion century are the Rolls Royce of sea fishing rods, and once you've had a roller you'll never compromise on quality again, just my opinion like. But all rods will catch fish in the right hands.

Theres plenty century rods out there would lift what ever the f*ck that was. It proves nothing

A rod thats rated to cast 250 grams but you cant even swing a 100 gram lead incase it shatters, aye ok

Its a bit like them cree lamps, theyre advertised brighter than floodlights at a footie stadium ffs
