  • Seaton Sluice Harbour

Has anyone ever fished the estuary bit at Seaton Sluice for Flatties? IE inside the harbour area, not the mouth...
    Ooh a new vid!

Aye me, used to fish it all the time when I was a kid, pretty much any bait had millions of flatties chasing the hook. Used to fish where the old barge was in the mouth of the harbour, was great until some point in the mid-1980's when I think there was some kind of sewage spill or something, was like flicking a switch - suddenly no fish. Been and tried a couple of times over the years since, but I've yet to see any fish out of there though have seen them in the shallows just outside the harbour so they must be back even if only a few of them

Agree about the eels. When I lived in Denmark they were a smoked snack you could buy at music gigs etc absolutely fantastic.
