If you want an all rounder go for the 525 with 18-20lb line on and put thick oil in the bearings. When you get use to it then you can put lighter oil in the bearings if you want. This is safe enough for general fishing and with 20lb line you are'nt going to be casting record distances anyway.

Thanks to all who replied to this thread.I went rash on Sunday and tempted
by a good deal at Spotty Dog,bought a Century Carbon Metal and a 525 xtra
blowing the budget.
