  • Anyone fishing South Shields?

Does anyone fish South Shields Pier regularly? I would appreciate advice on rigs, baits and fishing times. Also where is the nearest place that I can get bait from?

Nearest place for bait would be Reelsport on Dean Road, chicester, south shilds.

if you follow the likk next to my signature you'll find alot of marks marked on there.

I use pully pennels size hook depending on what fish your after.

    Fish over high tide IMO

      Rock marks for lure fishing

Cheers for the map, do you know if any of the rock marks are any good for spring/summer lure fishing? I've heard that the water isn't deep enough around Whitley Bay/Tynemouth area but was thinking of giving it a try anyway.

I've had makrel off Frenchies (south shields) and the pier in the summer, also had coalies on the float around the trow rocks area. Had makrel of whitley pipe as well so i dont think its to shallow!

Its still a bit early for the mackrel though.
