  • fished steetly today ,nightmare 04.03.08

    fished the steetly jetty this afternoon, hell of a sea running and thats about it , wind was blowing a hoolly straight off the sea , no hiding place, it was coming staight down the pier.you could,t hold bottom even with 6 oz grippers, the rod tips where bouncing about all over the place and between 7 of us fishing there i dont think there was one bite, even if you could see it ,between us . give up after 2 hours and went to the pub

    Paul i,ve had a day on there like that and its a nightmare. You struggle to hold the bottom with 8oz sinkers.
    Last time i went round to the red light,nowt much doing but a million times better.

      Hello peeps , you must have went early cos there was five cod taken this afternoon. four of them ranged from 2lb -3lb and the best was off "The Bell" it was 8 1/4 lbs. But yes you are spot on with the wind . Even the breakers were coming over the casing . Poor Bob C got soaked a few times , but his pair of 3lb ders will console him no doubt. We got nowt AGAIN I think it'll be the pond next week . TTFN.......
