  • Hooking peeler crab

    hi guys
    Ive just acquired some peelers and as ive never used them before i was wondering if someone could possibly advise me on the best way to attach them to the hook

    Pretty much as you would with mussels etc.
    Thread them on to the hook then lash on with bait elastic

      Get a pennel rig. Cut the peerler 3/4 in half way so it is a "W" shape. Hook the top bit on the top hook and the bottom bit on the bottom and lash with elastic!

            Gazza thanks for the information. It looks like when i was a lad i was doing the rightthing by twisting the leg off and seeing if the other was underneath.
            As to dressing the crab i found the info very good.
            Must get down in the spring and turn some rocks. I,ll take my young un he,ll enjoy that.
