resipole farm is right on the side of Loch sunart
    http://www.resipole.co.uk/

the pub in kilchoan (kilchoan hotel) lets people camp in their grounds which is at the seaward end of loch sunart/sound of mull.

we\'ve camped rough loads of times up there as well though. theres loads of great spots just of the road alongside lochaline, right at the waters edge. nobodys seems to be bothered aboput camping rough as long as you don\'t make a mess and take your rubbish home with you.

if you go further up an on to arisaig, not a sea loch as such but the liitle minch,
there\'s about a dozen camp sites along along the waters edge, from arisaig along to morar (charter boats go out from mallaig 2 miles further on)

if you go out to the western isles there are only a small handfull of sites across all of the island and the tourist board actually recomend you just camp in the dunes/beach. there\'s a couple of places on harris where they have actually built toilets, put stand pipes etc for rough camping!

depends where you are going. most of the beaches have the biggest fattest lug you\'ll ever see, and millions of em - usually only have the bairns bucket and spade and still fill a buxket in half an hour. You get quite a lot of white rag in amongst them as well. rock pools usually have lots of crab and prawns. there\'s mussel beds all ower the place. If you collect mussels in Kilchoan watch out for pearls when you shell them, I got a dozen pearls from 2 plates full at easter, ok mostly only 1-2mm but there were a couple of pea sized ones!

mackeral start to sshow late june, but small coalies and pollack are plentiful if your\'re plnning a bit of skate fishing.

if spinning for pollack etc dexter wedges and white hokkais are deadly. the postofiice/general store in Kilchoan stock a few bits of tackle but its pricey

sand eels can sometimes been found in the shallows if you\'ve got a net!

When are you planning on going up there Paul, me and me mate are dying to have a go at the pier at Lochaline. You can only dream about fishing in three hundred feet of water down here. It is a bonus if you are in thirty feet. I have been buying my lures already.

              Jim.
