Basically that map what Codseeker has posted is spot on, fish 2 be expected tings, coleys, various flatties,cod/codling and rockling, pouting. It has been rather quiet on Roker the past few weeks possibly due 2 flat seas, there hasn't been a great deal of Tings about mainly undersized fish tings, coleys and various flatties. If the winds turn NW/N and last a few days expect the fishing 2 pick up cod and big ting may return as after a good sea theres always a chance of a good Cod of Roker pier. Baits 4 flatties ting etc Mackeral, worm, mussel, squid, prawn. Baits 4 cod fresh peeler/frozen peeler, worm, squid, mussel,Razor, runnydown basically anything put on a decent pennel rig clipped down may attract the cod i use 5/0 sakuma mantas on a pulley rig with a impact shield. Crab may have the advantage as spring is approaching and normally crab is one of the best baits 2 use of Roker 4 cod along with worm etc. Normally anywhere between the 1st and 2nd set of steps can produce good fish a Rotten bottom can be essential as both sides sea and bay are covered with kelp and rock but its normally where some of the best fish are taken.
