Anyone know if it is possible to stay on St. Marys during the flood? Always wondered if it was - but wasnt sure how high up the water came,ie how much of the island gets covered.

heres a thread I put on last year mate,if its not to big a tide the rock on the left side is fine at high tide,never tried when the seas away though.love fishing the island with heavy gear or the float,ive put a few reports on here

Not a wuss mate if you didn't feel safe then it's the best thing to do. If you were to go in then nobody would know. I've fished over high water a couple of times on there and it's ok mate. I think I only lost two sinkers there last time and that was with using rotten bottoms.People who live in glass houses have to answer the door.
