  • Decent Chest Waders With Ankle Support ?

most just seem like flimsy wellies, no good for prching on boulders or rock ledges at low water, aching feet and sore ankles etc

anyone suggest a decent make or it better wearing bib and brace and boots ?

Greys neoprenes. Good sturdy boot on them. Good studded soles as well.

Try stocking foot waders, you can wear any type of boot you fancy with them

Don't wish to look too daft here but..... with stocking foot waders don't your feet get wet (I know you're wearing boots like). You can tell i've never owned a pair !!!

Ive just got the Greys GRXi chesties and find them very comfy but next to no ankle support. I had the diawa chesties before these and they had a stronger boot with better support, have heard that the latest batch have been suffering from splitting boots though.

I've got 2 pairs, greys studded neoprene and ocean rubber waders. The greys are my favorite for walking in as the boots are a lot firmer giving more comfort when walking over the rocks, better grip aswell with the studded soles. The ocean 1's i find keep me warmer as you can get a few extra layers on under them and they are comfy enough for walking on the beach. At almost half the price the ocean are good value for money.

I don't think neoprene's with stocking feet are that much more expensive than boot foot ones. Breathables do cost a bit more though.
