Was going to get jamie at pmr to do my fth12,but after speaking with him he didn't have any mag conversions that was strong/good enuff to stop/slow dwn the fth.He could of done the mod 4 me but wasn't 100% happy with it,but he was in the middle of producing an endplate mag n a seperate mono mag 4 use in the conversions, said that it was going to be a while tho b4 they came available.Me been eager i couldn't wait so i asked chris n he said he was 110% happy with his mags n conversions, well that was good enuff 4 me lol, never looked bk.Jamie did say they would be available 4 the 525's n the fth's n that it would be "right"when they were ready n that they r worth waiting 4.
ps just my bit to the thread lol.

I'd rather stick with a slosh then fanny about with all that like, but each to their own

Whats the idea of these custom end plate screws if you dont mind me asking, are they standard with macey mag conversion, and more to the point necessary.

They r just fancy screws lol, like a thumb screw,I put them on n r nothing to do with the conversion, purely cosmeticI believe the original idea is 4 qk n easy access into your reel, but for me I like to be diff n not a follower .Gr8 when servicing the reel, just a few turns n your inGot them fitted to a blue 7ht,had to drill the screws outa the end plate I replaced e'm with these qk release crown screws, looks mega aswell as repairing my reel

Okay thanks for that answer, give them a miss then, was only looking on a practical side of things, look okay but something that would bend or snap off on accidental hitting the deck hard, maybe, as they are so pronounced. In the eventual case of when l maybe replace some of my old 525mags with couple magged fathoms, not be for longtime though still going strong after nearly twenty years.
