  • Rotten Bottom

    Hi guys
im thinking of fishing roker pier in a couple of weeks and ive been told that certain places along the pier you need to use a rotten bottom, ive heard this term used before but ive know idea how to use one or set one up to the rig.
i know it seems like a daft question to ask but im fairly new to sea fishing only been sea fishing for about 6 months and havent had the need to use one before so if anyone can help it would be gratefully appreciated.

The easiest way and the cheapest way is to just tie some weaker line to the bottom of your rig and tie the weight to the weak line. If you use a rig clip on the bottom of your rig you can then loop the weight to the curve of it for casting out.
