    winds

Global warming and movement of the jet stream in the last few years has increased wind speeds in the uk.
I do a lot of sailing in the Irish sea in the spring and summer months and I need to keep a log of weather and sea conditions it is well known by most sea going sailors (off shore) that we are subject to stronger wind conditions
this is only going to get worse.
If you go to a weather station called "franks front page" it gives a very good insight into weather systems in the uk and the world.

I saw a bit on BBC4 last night about the gulf stream and how it affects our weather, last summer was a washout due to the gulf stream. Hope we get a better one this year.
