                Pretty good idea for getting that extra distance , as long as the wind is in your favour.

                  I've never saw a kite fly in a straight line like that before. If you've got the wind you need for a flight I can see some big tangles coming up. Good idea but how practical??

                        There's a guy who patented a compressed air launcher if I remember rightly, bit like a spud cannon, fires the bait/line hundreds of yards out to sea.

                        As for the kits, you could do it with a twin line kite a lot easier but it's going to need 2 people realistically - one to control the kite and one to keep hold of the rod and pull a release line. Not at all a new idea, my non-fishing mate asked me a decade ago how come I've never tried using my kites to carry the bait out further, just always thought he was taking the mick as usual about my failures to catch owt!
