cheers mark,
I followed the links and they both looked like they sold paper wrapped "blacks" which I can get down here. I'll try the other one a couple of the lads recommended and see what they sell. I'll post back on here my findings. The stuff I'm after was vacuum packed and looked superb and the lad who had it got it mail order....but it was a 3-4 years ago and he can't remember where from! Only seen it the once, the worms were about 10 inches long and as thick as your finger. Because I live in London, if I'm nicking a few hours on thwe spur of, bait is a problem but a bit of frozen in the freezer will still get me out. Also, this time of year, frozen is better for dabs than fresh on the kent coast, espacially when you let it get sticky and smelly for 2 days on a radiator before you use it (odd I know but it works really well). My freezer is now empty so I need to re-stock and havent time to pump my own to freeze. As I mentioned, thanks for the help so far and I'll let you know if I find anything decent.
all of my frozen bait comes from baits direct along with gripper weights as there half the price of tackle shops up here.
there are 2 types of black lug on there website im still not sure which is best other lads may be able to help you out on which is best there delivery is within 2 working days so plan ahead
Big hand to Gazzawill.
Ordered the bait off ebay and it arrived today Big fresh black lug, still in excellent condition and very useable. I've kept a few in the fridge to use and frozen the rest down. Big, firm worms, a little expensive but excellent quality. I'll let you kniow next week if I catch. I'm fishing Dungeness on Sunday. We've had a nice southerly for 2 days now, dropping off tomorrow with very low wind for Sunday. Sea hould be nicely coloured which is more important than swell down here; and with the back end of the spring highs there is a very good chance of a cod or two. There is an absolute guaranteed chance of enough rockling to feed africa so it'll be one rod, big hooks big bait, and one rod 1'o's and dabs and rockling. Thats what the book says anyway. I see the more famous Gazza's had a spot of bother and been sectioned poor sod. It's a fine line!!!!
