I love mine, Iv got 2 30's & a 20
Fast retrieve & robust, one of the thirties is prob 20 years old & still working as good as the others
I give them a rinse under the tap when I get home after every trip.
I keep thinking of a change to something more modern but can't seem to find anything I'm happy with
Plenty of 2nd hand ones about but just as cheap to buy new

Great reels for the money. Had mine, 3 sl3osh and 3 sl20sh 20plus years. I don't recomend running any reel under the tap though, unless they have stainless bearings and working parts. When a bearing is worn in them, it's usually the one on the handle side, so keep well lubicated.P.B. Cod 30lb-11ozs Balcary.

What do you recommend? Iv always done this with my reels after every trip just to wash away the salt, Iv got a 7000c synchro prob 25 year old & as new which I put down to regular washing away the corrosive salt.
My method is a thorough rinse under the tap followed by dry off with kitchen roll
A light spray with wd40(occasionally) & I store them in the cupboard where it's nice warm & dry
I strip & grease them once a year
Ill post a photo of my old & new 30 & it's hard to tell the two apart!!!
What do you do? I'm always looking to try a different method if it's better
