    with the summer approaching do any of you know from experience when the mull of galloway fishes for pollock and mackerel ? I thought it was early june but correct me if im wrong

        July august are the best.
        Normally when the kids are off school.
        I normally stop at burrowed caravan park and drive to the mull

          Me and my mates had pollack and mackerel in October up there last year off west tarbet.
          All the gear, no idea.

            You can catch the odd early Macky now.
            They are always a couple of month earlier than on our coast.
            The Pollack fishing usually starts around late June.The best months for big fish are September and October.

              I always go end of June beginning of July, but that's only because of my birthday on 1st of July, but Pollack are normally bigger later in the summer
              species so far :cod,whiting,coalie,dab,flounder ,plaice,3bearded rockling,mackeral,granny fish best for 2012 :6lbcod
