In my opinion greys reel seats are the worst ever. Ive got 2 greys rods and i know alot of people knock Greys but ive had excellent customer service from them in the past and wil always look at there rods first, but the reel seats are pants. Found on my nitra it will tighten up if the reel is low on the rod but not higher up.

its a nice rod, great for casting and bite detection but its a bit on the floppy side, its meant to be a rough ground rod but i'd prefer my apollo mk2

Century moveable reel seat is the best available for build and the usuall Century quality. You pay a bit extra for it but it is an excellent bit of important kit which is easy to move and secure. Quite happy holding my Morrum 7700 or my 7HT with no movement at all.

Only problem i had Mick was that it got stuck a couple of times, maybe that was a lack of a good fish lol.
I've had the Greys seat for a few years now, never had a problem with it,maybe theres a newer version of it out now that is'nt as good
                        Cheers Alan...
