  • Help and advice please for tonight

    Got bait left over from yesterday so i need to use it up tonight. Any ideas where will be worth a chuck over high water with the seas flat? Was thinking the river wud be only shot but never catch much there. Any help would be great.
    Best shore caught fish:- Pollock 6lb+ Beadnell, 9lb 8oz Cod Blyth Beach

      if you want to fish the river come over my side mate! i've never fished brigams and not caught owt! nice easy shot as well. or even the rat house!

        Wanted a rock or beach mark Phil. Just need to find out where if anywhere will be worth a shot. Help please people i only fish low water marks and apart from piers don't know where to try!

          If the sea is flat, try the little south pier at Cullercoats - but make sure you do keep an eye on the sea as it can wash over that thing... had some nice fish off there at times. Bit of a tackle graveyard mind, i just use a couple of old spark-plugs as a sinker rather than waste leads.

            Looks like you'll be fishing the tide down gregg. I know it's a long way for you but Ryhope (the ramp) fishes well on the ebb and there's huge tides today so rivers might be a bit tricky

                I had a couple hours on the island at the back of the harbour at craster last night was really quiet only a few nibbles and that was it.....fog got really bad so decided to make an early exit didnt fancy rushing off in a blanket of fog.

                  try Marden beach.was along there today for a walk and a few were fishing,about 15 that i seen and canny few codling caught
