  • whitley promanade??

    went for a drive today along coast past whitley bay and cullercoats, sluice etc, when going past whitly bay towards culler coats a pulled over and looked over the side of railings and seen a promanade thing with a paddling pool on. can or has anybody fished off ehre before, was high tide so dont know wat the bottom was like. seen afew fishing off the rocks next to culler coats harbour .

    Yer fished it loads of time sin really really big seas. Had soem fantastic nights to be honest of there, not tired it in 2 years mind but had some cracking fish both cod,coalie and bass from that mark.

    If you fish on the left hand side your casting onto mainly sand if you fish the right its onto rocks. I liek fishing onto the sand in a big sea.

      when a looked down there seemed to be a sort of tunnel thing built into the wall , is tht the left hand side???

        If you had of been there at low tide you would have seen whitley pipe, never fished the prom at high tide, it's very rough ground, but have fished the pipe loads of times, can be a good mark.
        It's a thin line that seperates an Angler from a madman standing on the beach in january at midnight in -5 degrees with a northerly wind blowing in your face

          The tunnel leads you to a staircase that takes onto the rocks,its very slippy and dangerous so be careful,theres another staircase to the right,also slippy and dangerous,great mark in very calm conditions.You can fish off the Prom in front of the Rex,its sandy/mixed ground,best to avoid it on a weekend
