Now now boyz play nice and dont argue or bang egos. And please dont start on me.the upshot is YES any rod can snap.even the best.century excalibur s seem decent .I have two but then I also have five zziplex. Its a risk u take when u cast any rod.thankfully breakages are not common. To jase enjoy yr TT .I have one myself so they are a good rod.very poweful mind. ENJOY.

Hope jase doesn't mind me hi-jacking his thread. Similar question for me - need a rough ground rod for the rock fishing around Craster, Amble etc. NETS recommended me the Century Eliminator or the Excalibur TTR (?) but I'm thinking that they'll be too powerful for me.

Looking for a good, lightish rod for the heavy ground that will be decent to cast with a F/S with an overhead thump. Budget within reason not an issue. Casting wise I'm average I reckon - can hit about 160-170 on the field with a Yuki Q7.

                Any recommendations?

Best off having a feel/hold of a few to see what you think, I would take a look at the harrison torrix P3 personally...Mine always gets preference over my zziplex & century

Have looked for them after reading something else on here but they seem pretty hard to track down. I'll do some more googling.
